What are your pricing plans?
We offer three plans:
- Tester — Free. Up to 5 test participants, all features enabled, 30-day data access window.
- Basic — $500/yr. 20 participants, single device integration (Garmin Connect or Dexcom), standard data.
- Advanced — $1,250/yr. 20 participants, unlimited integrations, high-resolution data including BBI for HRV and sleep actigraphy, flexible sampling rates up to 100 Hz.

What is the main difference between the Basic and Advanced plan?
The key difference between the Basic and Advanced plans is data resolution.

Advanced enables customizable sampling rates, BBI (beat-to-beat interval) for HRV analysis, sleep actigraphy, and unlimited device integrations.
- Basic collects standard data via a single device integration (Garmin Connect or Dexcom only).
If your study requires HRV, high-resolution accelerometry, or data from multiple device types, you'll need the Advanced plan.

In which currency are Labfront pricing plans listed?
All Labfront pricing plans are listed in USD (US Dollars).
How do you charge for the Labfront service — monthly, annually, or pre-paid?
Labfront is billed on an annual basis, paid in advance. We do not currently offer monthly billing.
In addition to our Tester plan, we offer trial Advanced accounts for testing or pilot purposes. Contact hello@labfront.com for details.
Do you offer short-term or monthly subscriptions?
We don't currently offer monthly plans. Our standard billing is annual, paid upfront.
However, if you have a short-term study (e.g., 3–6 months), we're happy to discuss your needs and find a solution that works for your budget and timeline. Reach out to hello@labfront.com or book a call with our team.
What is included with the Tester plan?
The Tester plan lets you explore Labfront before committing. It includes:
- Up to 5 participant accounts
- Access to our full range of metrics (some sampling rate limits apply — e.g., Movesense ECG and IMU)
- 30-day data access window (data older than 30 days is not accessible)
- EMA surveys, App Builder, and all researcher dashboard features
Will my free trial data be preserved if I upgrade?
Yes, data collected during your Tester plan is preserved and accessible after you upgrade to a paid plan. You won't lose any data collected during your trial period.
Note
The Tester plan limits data access to the last 30 days. Upgrading to Basic or Advanced removes this restriction and unlocks your full historical data.
Participants and Overages
How many participants are included in each plan?

What does an additional participant cost?
Additional participants beyond the 20 included are billed per participant, per year:
- Basic — $10/participant/yr
- Advanced — $25/participant/yr

What counts as a participant? Is it by user or by device?
Every new participant account created in Labfront counts as one participant, regardless of whether the same device is shared across participants.
For example, if 10 participants use the same device at different times, that counts as 10 participants toward your plan limit.
Can I use one device for multiple participants?
Yes, the same device can be used with multiple participants in a study. However, with regards to participant count, every new participant that is created to collect data in Labfront counts as one participant. For example, if you use 10 participants on one device, it would count as 10 participants.

Analytics Packages (HRV & Actigraphy)
Are analytics packages included in the plan?
No, analytics packages for HRV and Actigraphy are add-ons offered at an additional cost, separate from the base subscription. They require the Advanced plan.

Can I add analytics packages later?
Yes, analytics packages can be added at any point during your study, as long as you are on the Advanced plan.

Can I collect HRV without purchasing an HRV package?
Yes, the Advanced plan enables you to capture beat-to-beat interval (BBI) data, from which HRV can be derived. This doesn't require an HRV package.
However, since BBI produces a large volume of data, our HRV Packages are recommended to accelerate processing and maximize insights. Contact us to learn more.
Hardware and Devices
Are Garmin devices included in the plan price?
No, device hardware is not included in any pricing plan. Plans cover your researcher account, participant app access, and data infrastructure.
However, Labfront customers are eligible for a 20~25% hardware discount through our partnership with Garmin. Contact us to be connected with a Garmin Health rep for a hardware quote.
How much of a discount can you provide for Garmin devices? And does the discount apply to all Garmin devices?
The discount varies by device model and quantity, but is typically around 20%. Please reach out to hello@labfront.com with your device needs and we'll provide a tailored quote.
Where can I buy compatible devices?
You can purchase devices directly from our hardware partners, Garmin, Movesense, or Dexcom, or contact us at hello@labfront.com and we'll guide you through the buying process.
Institutional Purchasing
Can you provide formal invoices with PO numbers?
Yes, we regularly work with university procurement offices and hospitals that require purchase order (PO) numbers on invoices. Please share your PO documentation with us at hello@labfront.com and we'll issue updated invoices accordingly.
Can Labfront be set up as a supplier in our institution's procurement system?
Yes, we can provide all documentation needed to be onboarded as a supplier, including:
- W-9 form (for US institutions)
- Bank and wire transfer details
- Supplier information forms
