Reboot Garmin Device

If your watch is not responding, you may need to reboot the device. We'll show you how to recover the device from this frozen state.

Performing a soft reboot on many Garmin watches can take care of some issues you might experience during usage. For example, in some instances, a device can appear locked up or frozen and may not respond to any input such as pressing a key or swiping the touchscreen.

You can attempt the following steps in order to recover the device from this locked or frozen state.

We recommend you sync your data before performing a soft reset (better safe than sorry).
