Reboot/Restart Garmin Device
Performing a soft reboot on a Garmin watch can take care of some issues you might experience during the course of your study.
A soft reboot can help fix an unresponsive Garmin watch or issues with the heart rate sensor. If your device is frozen or the heart rate sensor lights won't turn on, follow these steps to restore normal function.
Before you begin
We recommend you try syncing your data on the Labfront and Garmin apps before performing a soft reset just to be on the safe side.
Rebooting vivosmart 5
- Hold
for 10 seconds.

The watch briefly displays a triangle, and then it displays the watch face.
Rebooting other devices with a physical button:

Plug the device into an external power source using the power/data cable.

Press and hold the power button until the watch powers off (hold for up to 30 seconds).

Release the power button.

If the power/data cable does not power the watch back on automatically, unplug from the power source and plug it back in or press the power button.
