[Using Device](https://help.labfront.com/garmin?hsLang=en#using-device) # Disable Garmin Alert Notifications ## This article explains how to remove the "get up and move" or "relax, take a breath" alert notifications from Garmin. --- If you would like to reduce participant feedback and disable any type of Garmin notifications during the study, please follow the steps outlined below. In this article: - Disable the move alerts and relax reminders via Garmin Connect - Disable the move alerts and relax reminders via Garmin watch - Disable all alerts by turning on do not disturb mode --- ### Disable the move alerts and relax reminders/stress alerts via Garmin Connect 1. Open the [Garmin Connect app](https://www.garmin.com/p/125677/). 2. Access the menu by selecting **More** (bottom right). 3. Select **Garmin Devices**. 4. Select your Garmin watch. 5. Select **Alerts**, **Sounds and Alerts**, or **Notifications & Alerts (device-specific)**. 6. Select **Health & Wellness**, if available. 7. Toggle on or off Move Alerts and/or **Relax Reminders**/**Stress Alerts.** For more information about stress and move alert notifications, including other ways to disable them, view the [Garmin Support article.](https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=D5U2XIryT42DNzEmqvPVk8) --- ### Disable the move alerts and relax reminders/stress alerts via Garmin watch Some watches with the relax reminder feature allow you to turn it on or off from the stress widget/glance settings of the watch. These steps may not work for all watch models with the relax reminder feature. 1. Select the stress widget/glance on your watch. - If you do not see the stress widget, refer to your [owner's manual](https://support.garmin.com/ql/?focus=manuals) for instructions to enable it. 2. Press and hold the **Menu** button. 3. Access the stress widget settings menu, if applicable. 4. Toggle on or off Move Alert or **Relax Reminders**/**Stress Alerts.**   ##### **Note** For some watches this setting is found under **Watch Settings** \> **Notifications & Alerts** \> **Health & Wellness**.   --- ### Disable all alerts with do not disturb mode Do not disturb mode silences vibrations and notifications, turns off the display for alerts, and disables the gesture setting, so the watch face remains off when you move your wrist. ##### Note In your Garmin Connect™ account, you can set the watch to automatically enter do not disturb mode during sleep hours. You can set your normal sleep hours in the user settings on your Garmin Connect account ([User Profile Settings](https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/GUID-8674F17E-62B2-48DE-927A-251611664658/EN-US/GUID-8932E5C6-2801-4605-8B6B-43619696A4F1.html)).
